Mindvary is a desktop workspace for the inside of your head — conversations, prompts, and tasks under one keyboard layer. Every chat is a time machine. Every key is yours.
Where is scooby do? I left him in the time-machine demo and now timeline C-01 won't load — I think I forked too aggressively last night.
Found him. He's three branches deep on rail C, parked at message #47. Want me to rewind to the last good state and graft your edits forward? Or fork a new rail D from here and keep both worlds alive?
Most AI tools are a chat box. Mindvary is four — chat, prompts, tasks, library — woven into the same hotkey layer. You stop tab-juggling. Your work compounds.
Every message is a checkpoint. Rewind, fork, graft branches together. Compare two alternate timelines side-by-side.
Save, version, test, and share prompts. Variables. Snippets. Composer with live preview. The discipline a prompt deserves.
Queue long-running prompts. Kanban or timeline view. Tasks run on your device against the model and key you pick — local, BYOK, or both.
Drop in folders, PDFs, repos, URLs. Mindvary embeds them locally. Reference any source in any chat with a single keystroke.
Every chat is a graph, not a transcript. Rewind to before that one bad reply. Fork rail C off rail A. Graft the answer you wanted into the timeline you kept. Nothing is lost — every node lives on its rail.
Hit ⌘[ to rewind. Hit ⌘⇧B to fork a new rail from any node. Drag a rail onto another to graft. The timeline graph stays visible at all times.
Your prompts and conversations are the long tail of your thinking. They shouldn't sit on a vendor's server, waiting to be rate-limited, deprecated, or rolled into a feed.
Mindvary lives on your laptop. The database is a SQLite file you can read with a hex editor. The keys are yours. The model is yours. The history is yours. We just draw the interface.— Mindvary manifesto · v1.0
Plug your Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral, or local llama.cpp endpoint. We never proxy. We never mark up.
Cloud sync is a fixed $4/month. We don't care how many tokens you burn. Your usage isn't our revenue.
Everything is in one portable SQLite file. Export, back up, grep, archive — without us in the loop.
Tasks queue when you're flying. Chats with a local model work on a plane. Sync resolves when you land.
⌘K opens the palette. ⌥⌘P opens Mindvary from anywhere — inside any app, on top of anything you're doing. Inject a thought. Get an answer. Drop back into your flow.
Open, search, branch, fork, switch model, switch theme, inject a snippet — one keystroke, one palette.
A floating overlay that drops over your editor, browser, Slack, Figma — any app. Selection auto-attaches. Hit return. Done.
Mindvary runs on your machine — pricing covers only the cloud bits: sync, hosted DB, the bits that need a server. Tokens go straight from your key to your provider. No markup. Ever.
Everything that lives on your machine. Bring your own model keys. One device, unlimited everything.
Hosted DB · sync across unlimited devices · PWA install. You still bring your own keys.
Pro, plus shared libraries, roles, audit log, and a workspace key vault. One flat price for the whole team.

01 ›What does "local-first" actually mean here?
Your conversations, prompts, tasks, and library all live in a SQLite file in ~/Library/Mindvary. The app reads and writes there. Cloud sync, if you turn it on, replicates that file — it isn't the source of truth.
02 ›Do you ever see my prompts or replies?
No. Requests go from the app straight to your provider, signed with your key. The cloud tier proxies nothing — it only sync's the encrypted SQLite blob.
03 ›What's the catch with BYOK + flat pricing?
There isn't one. We sell you a piece of software; we don't sell tokens. If you burn $400 of Anthropic credit in a month, your Mindvary subscription is still $4. We just don't take a margin on inference.
04 ›Does time-travel work with any model?
Yes — the graph is a property of Mindvary, not the model. We re-build the message history per branch and send it like any normal chat completion. Works with every provider above.
05 ›Can I run this fully offline?
Point Mindvary at a local llama.cpp or Ollama endpoint and disable sync. The whole product works on a plane. Tasks queue locally and run when you reconnect.
06 ›Is the source code open?
Not today. Mindvary is closed-source desktop software with a documented local file format — your SQLite file is portable and readable without us. Open-sourcing parts of the app shell is on the long-term roadmap but not a launch commitment.
Free tier, no account required. Cloud sync when you want it. Your keys, your data, always.
